Children & Youth
Caring for our parish infants and toddlers (6 months to 3 years) during the 9:45 Mass.
Teaching 3 and 4 year olds during the 9:45 Mass. Lesson plans are provided.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Children from grades K-3 are invited to hear the readings read on their level during the 9:45 a.m. Sunday Mass, followed by a homily or activity suited to their age. Children return from the parish hall to the church for the remainder of the Mass with their families.
Vacation Bible School
A summer program for children from K-6th grade. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate educational, spiritual and creative activities.
Cub Scouts, Webelos, Boy Scouts, Daisies, Brownies and Girl Scouts are just a few of the scouting organizations who are affiliated with St. Jude. Boys and girls scouting troops are very active as they continue to develop ideals and values.
A ministry where moms and/or caregivers make ‘joyful music’ with toddlers up to Kindergarten. It is an interactive ministry that follows the school calendar year and semesters. Each semester 25 toddlers and their caregivers gather in the St. John room to experience music together.
Ministry of moms and/or caregivers and toddlers meet every first and third Friday in the parish hall from 9:30-11:30 a.m. to engage in fellowship and prayer and to interact with their children in a friendly Christian setting. Occasional field trips are taken and social outreach programs are explored for the children’s involvement.
A ministry promoting spiritual growth and guidance for junior and senior high school students. Events and programs are held throughout the year.
