"Embrace the Grace of Imperfection"Each of us is created in the image and likeness of God. Still, there are moments when we struggle with accepting our imperfections. In today’s society, we are all at risk of comparing ourselves and our gifts to those of others. However, as Jesus blessed Saint Peter in his weakness, He desires to bless us in ours and lead us to a deeper acceptance of ourselves and a deeper appreciation of the gift that we are to others.

STEPHEN HEARD is an Addiction Counselor in the Baton Rouge area. He and his wife Catherine (“Cat”), and their 2 daughters, Isabella and Sophia, are active members of St. Jude Parish and
own and operate the Mercy Autism Center. His personal story and time spent assisting others struggling with addiction has led him to the point of truly embracing the grace of human imperfection.
MITCH ARCENEAUX serves on the faculty at Catholic High School as here in Baton Rouge as a Latin teacher and assists with,
among other efforts, the school’s Campus Ministry program. He is genuinely respected by both students and adults alike. Mitch’s story is a powerful one of overcoming adversity throughout his entire life. He has shared his experience during Catholic High’s annual Senior
Retreat and is always well-received, especially by students. We are
extremely happy to welcome Mitch as he shares his story with us on our Men’s Retreat.
